This winter we're back in the sleepover groove with the grandkids after a long hiatus. Fun but tiring. I somehow feel youthful and ancient all at once.
Being with children side by side and from a distance.
Sticks and stones, ivy and conifers, patience and stillness, oblivious to outside world. Come walk with us.
Mulling over the stars and space, galaxies and astronomy, and what is observable... as you do...
I cherish these long hours we get to spend with the grandkids when school doesn't get in our way. It brings back recollections of aimless days of homeschooling my own children, following their lead on adventures that were important mainstays of their learning.
Marilyn was a family gal through and through, and she worked at being a good mother-in-law.
