Wordless Wednesday

Spring unrolls in phases. Budlets. A tiny bloom. Cobwebs clear. Brilliant greens. Blue sky crowds out clouds. Shoulders lower. Twitterpated birds. Nesting ensues. Goldfinch returns. Cold breeze. Restlessness. Peonies nod. Tulips curtsy. Red currant waves. Trillium hunting time. Phone photos, but you get the idea.

Tryon Creek State Natural Area. Trillium, Salmonberry, Skunk Cabbage

  1. I couldn’t believe it took me so long to get out there to look. This weekend perhaps the Gorge, though I’m fearing the crowds. The sacrifices I make to meet up with working people! 🙂 Thanks for being here!

  2. The Labyrinth Trail at Coyote Wall gave me some much needed solitude even on a busy, sunny day in the Gorge. Have you ever been ? Love these thought-bombs of spring you’ve shared !
