Wondering about the meaning of life, I did what any sensible person would do, and I Googled it. The list of definitions was poetically striking, and the results are laid out here for you to ponder.
There are some conflicting viewpoints of course, as that’s life. Does it begin at 30 or at 80? Is it a trainwreck or amazing? Is it a dream or an illusion, and are those different? Some of the answers left me with more questions, like, “Life begins at the hop.” In which case I may be failing at life.
Given that life keeps changing, I suppose tomorrow’s Google search might come up with something different, but I have enough answers to ponder, so no need. For sure, life is strange.
Let me know what you think.
Life is strange
Life is good
Life is beautiful
Life is short

Life is strange before the storm
Life is what you make it
Life is feudal (as opposed to futile?)
Life is a highway
Life is amazing
Life is an adventure
Life is a rock
Life is a dream

Life is a game
Life is an illusion
Life is an echo
Life is an open door
Life is an experiment
Life is an endless series of trainwrecks
Life is an oyster
Life is an adventure or nothing at all

Life is like a camera
Life is like a box of chocolates
Life is like a hurricane
Life is like a vapor
Life is like a video game
Life is like a bowl of cherries
Life is like a boat
Life is like a mountain railroad

Life is like the ocean
Life is like the seasons
Life is like the wind
Life is like the weather
Life is like the sea
Life is like the Truman Show
Life is like an ocean

Life begins at conception
Life begins at 40
Life begins at 30
Life begins where fear ends
Life begins after coffee
Life begins at 50
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone
Life begins after school

Life begins at 80
Life begins at the hop
Life begins when church ends
Life begins when the heart starts beating
Life begins when you do
Life begins when you get back up
Life begins when you know how it ends
This is fun (not feudal, or futile! That cracked me up!). I often think of life as a journey, but that didn’t come up in your results, although similar ones did. Life is a mystery, and like Iris says, “No one knows for certain, so it’s all the same to me. I think I’ll just let the mystery be.”

Exactly, Iris had it right the first time. Thanks for reading. Hopefully not futile or feudal… ❤

My favorites from your list, top three:
Life is an open door.
Life is like the seasons. (I must be in the Autumn of my years).
Life is like the ocean. (Vast).
Very good, now you have me pondering.

Well – that pretty much sums it up. I like “life begins when your born” because isn’t that the damn truth no matter what age you happen to be!

I thought that too, then I was thinking it was more political and a pro-choice kind of statement. Either way, +++

I have card taped directly above my computer monitor I bought (and I was going to give it to someone but that someone is now ME) that says “life is slippery. here, take my hand.” credit H. Jackson Brown Jr. I love it so much and it never stops resonating. xoxo
